We have used Amazon Alexa’s for many years, whether thats models with screens in the kitchen, upright ones in the dining room, cube in lounge, or spot attached to a amp and speakers outside.
To be fair, they have fulfilled most of our need. Quality is ok, if we have a party, they can all be grouped together and syncronised to the same track. And of course we use them for home automation too.
We are just about to move home and I’m working on setting up HA for our new house.
Can anybody suggest improvements to the ‘Alexa’ concept we should consider? Anything that HA can bring to the party?
Or just stick with what we are used to?
I may consider in-ceiling speakers in a couple of downstairs rooms, like the kitchen/diner. They could still be fed from a Alexa, but with an amplifier to provide the power.
I’m mainly loking for ideas and suggestions on how things could be improved, would be great to hear what you did, and why.
