Multiple Aeotec Sensors

I’ve had a Aeotec multisensor controlling by bedroom lights for well over year, as well as a Aeotec door/window sensor. These have both been working fine since the install.

I recently purchased another multisensor sensor for downstairs, however I receive no motion update. I’ve configured it to the same parameters as the working sensor using the zwave control in HASS. I’ve set motion reset to 45 seconds, binary sensor report. This worked briefly then stopped reporting all of a sudden. I can tap the sensor to produce a 3 on the burglar, this however then stays on never resetting to 0.

I’ve reset the Zwave stick, unpaired all the devices and repaired and still no luck. I even purchased another sensor thinking this one was faulty and yet it’s still producing the same results.
I’ve unpaired everything once again since, and it seems to be the first sensor setup will work fine, but the second will not. I’ve swapped these around to ensure it wasn’t hardware specific.

I’ve had a look through the logs but I’m not really sure what to look for. I’m really at a loss to what to do next, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve tried looking in to this a bit more.

If I change the zwave settings in HASS, then check them in OZCP it seems like they are all still the default settings.

The same happens if I then edit those in OZCP and load HASS, it reverts everything back. I’ve changed the settings in OZCP, saved and then restarted OZCP to check they are saving correctly. Even with this, when I load HASS and check the values from the front end they are all back to default.

@getsmokes Hi, I had a similar problem with my sensors both gen5 and 6 where the motion sensor would stop registering events in HA and changing settings did not seem to help. What I ended up doing, was unpaired the sensors using the Zwave stick, checking that any stale sensors had been removed from within HA (after removing and restarting HA). Once I knew they were gone, I then repaired them, but instead of removing my Zwave stick and using it to do this, I left it plugged into HA and instead paired the sensors using the HA option within the configuration section (same process as using the stick).

I have then been able to change settings no problems and they have been working a treat since.

cheers

Nice one mate, I’ll try this tonight. By using the HA option, is that through the zwave panel? I’m assuming I click add node after putting the stick in to pairing mode?

yep its in the zwave panel. click add node, but leave the stick alone and plugged into HA, only activate the device that you want to pair. The HA add node button works the same way as pressing the USB stick button.
