Hi all.
Updated to 2024.11.0 this morning, and came across an odd error which requires repairing.
I have checked as much as I can but cant seem to find any ‘duplicates’.
Is there somewhere else I should be checking?
I have the same question.
Also, What stops working in version 2025.11.0? Repair? ESPHome?
I was under the impression that the user does not have any control of the unique ID as it is assigned by Home Assistant.
Can someone suggest which device is the offending one?
The error message says that the config entries are named ‘sonoffmini’ and ‘nodemcu’:
But, I only have ONE device named ‘nodemcu’:
And also ONE device named ‘sonoffmini’:
So, how do I repair this?
Something is off with the 11.0 release. Thinking a reboot would fix things, I tried this. Nope.
I next then tried to update HA Supervisor, then Core. Nope.
No idea where to look to fix this now.
This is also confusing:
“This stops working in version 2025.11.0. Please address before upgrading.”
What stops working??
I tried deleting all of my Sonoff and NodeMCU devices from ESPHome. None were currently in use, but after restarting Home Assistant I am still getting the same unique ID error.
It must be me. I took another look and as if by magic, my system fixed itself. I now have no weird notifications anymore, and even the HA Supervisor updated perfectly. Its Monday right?
