Does anyone have any experience using this speaker for mic input? First of all, I don’t use it as much because it goes mute at random for some reason and it’s not reliable. However, it’s because a little more available lately after updates to HA (not to it though). I cannot get it to listen for voice input. The wake word is blank and won’t let me do anything with it.
which luxe speaker do you have, v1 or v2? and are you using the yaml from here?:
I think it’s V2. I bought it Feb 2025 from Amazon. I think I saw this and it was confusing. I got it flashed but there hasn’t been any more updates from that time (when I bought it). I’ll try to reflash it but I haven’t seen any more advertised firmware. I’m not sure I know how to deal with the yaml. That’s probably the thing I’m missing. That page isn’t real clear on how to do it.
Ok I re-flashed it and it does seem to be a newer version. However, some of the sounds don’t sound right now, the wake word thing isn’t showing up still, and music assistant sees it but doesn’t want to enable it. I still don’t understand how that yaml comes into play or is that already done automatically once I flash and rejoin it to HA? I swear this thing has been so buggy for so long. PLEASE HELP.
