Have I linked MA to the voice assistant the correct way? I followed this guide: Voice Control - Music Assistant and have the HACS integration setup which does seem to be working most of the time. Is it possible to connect it to an LLM with the core integration as it doesn’t have the configuration option? Also I’m a bit confused by the intermediate vs advanced versions of the setup, they both use LLM’s so I don’t see what you do differently for the advanced setup. Thanks!

I had a working setup of music assistant for a while. However now I am unable to play start songs true Music Assistant.
I get this in the Logs:

I have tried removing and reinstalling Sonos and reauthenticate Spotify.
I can start playing music from whitin home assitant itself so the speakers work.
Anyone an idea on what might be the problem?

Has anyone got templating working for any of the MA services?
For example play media service accepts a list of URI, i am wanting to use generative AI to give me a list of similar artists to the current playing artist and the queue them up into music assistant on the current playing queue.
Should this work or does it need coding to support?
That has been deprecated. The current plan is to release a blueprint. The small team is overloaded with other tasks. Whilst we are talking about it internally it could be weeks until it is properly released. Having said that sometimes someone finds some time to do the necessary work. If you are on the HACS integration you might like to stay with that for a while longer.
Is it still possible to install via hacs? It’s no longer showing as an option for me. Thank you.
Why would you want to? It is now officially supported natively in HA itself.
Oh, just saw there are some small differences in options. I’m running the beta of the add-on and the native integration. Works fine for me for what I use.

Hi, I installed Music Assistant on my Homeassistant server.
In home assistant, I see my SONOS Speakers, but in Music Assistant I see no speaker at all.
Should they be integrated automatically upon installation ?
I am running 2.4.0b8 of Musisc assistant, and the latest version of home assistant.
What I am missing here ?
You need to add the players in the music assistant settings. This will add duplicate media players in HA. You can then remove the original media player integration for Sonos unless you wish to keep some of the additional entities available.
Yes, it works if they are not a stereo pair. But I have now removed the AirPlay integration because it quickly becomes confusing. With the Sonos integration, the speakers then move into the bubble. It didn’t do that with AirPlay and each player was still visible individually.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t load many album covers for me because I have very exotic music (minimal house). Is there a way to get it to use the song covers instead, so that the empty tile is filled with life?
Music Assistant only plays one song.
I am having a few issues with Music Assistant.
1/ How do I get it to play a whole album. I go into Album, start the first song and then it stops after the first song. If I set up a playlist in MA, it will play the entire playlist but I do not want to convert each album into a playlist.
2/ Just about every album is either missing songs or puts other songs from other artists into the list of tracks. All the albums look ok in MusicBee.
3/ When you list tracks (eg for Leonard Coen) under each track it lists the artist but adds artists (eg John English and ACDC). I have no idea what it is doing.
I have loaded my jukebox folder into the Raspberry Pi server and access via File Explorer. I should be on the latest version of MA, (no About button) but it says Server version 2.4.0b8 (not certain what server this is).
Anyone have a solution for any of these issues.

in the artist tab? You can switch the list to album artists instead of artists with one of the icons on top (on mobile it’s in the 3 dots menu)
Likely a tagging problem for most of the issues File System Provider - Music Assistant and also look at the troubleshooting page.
