Music Assistant does not 'see' HA voice PE

Hi all
Is it just me? I cant seem to connect this device to music assistant, the only way Ive been able to play anything on it is selecting it as a device and clicking the media player part of it, but I cant select anything but local media(no spotify/playlists etc) and I dont store my media on this HA instance
But yes my main issue is Music Assistant does not see it as a speaker…I grabbed 3 of these and was hoping to be able to group them and hook them all up to external speakers around the house for MA playback when not using for HA control
Any feedback or help appreciated :slight_smile:

Filtered out by default do you mean? Nothing is filtered from my end at least

in the docs (section linked above) it says may be filtered if there is no play_media support.

Ah sorry I missed that link. It’s strange because I can select the preview edition under devices or through the esphome section and choose to play media on it, but as I don’t have local media files I can play radion stations and other such things. Very frustrating I’m sure there must be a fix

I didn’t even know the addon existed till a few hours ago, and through the process of setting it up i had the same problem…

as the be aware section notes… “Problems with HA providers will be addressed as resources allow.”

Thanks Chris for having a go yourself, confirms it’s not just a me problem haha

As for the Music Assistant add-on it’s fantastic. Have Spotify and my own Plex music library available and you can group speakers as well, which was one of the things I wanted to do with my new HA voice assistant PE hardware

So the home assistant voice pe does not work directly with the Spotify or Spotifyplus integration?
You have to go through music assistant to get Spotify working?
That is quite strange.
