Ok so I cannot figure this out. No matter what settings I have music assistant keeps looping when I send a single track to media_player.master_bedroom_audio_3. It behaves normally when I just play media on that media player via the media interface in HA. the media player is a vlc telnet client that explictly forbids loop and repeat via cli flag.
If it helps it just doesnt appear that music assistant moves it from queued to played after the track completes
Have you tried the different enqueue options in the action?
yes. I have turned off and on equeue flow as well. It just seems to never clear its own queue after it plays a track. It never shows as “played” afterwards if you click the details of the media player in music assistant’s screen. Furthermore, all options but “delete” are greyed in the queue screen
OK, that shows as not English, but it is the English version. No idea why.

thanks, rather than waste any more time trying to get this to work I just used snapcast.
Same here. Music Assistant plays a track for a minute and then starts from the beginning.
This is happening streaming from a network drive to iOS.
Is there a solution for this behavior?
I got mine working by using navidrome (subsonic) as the backend, snapcast for the player provider. I don’t have any apple stuff so I cannot help with anything specific to that. I failed to get music assistant to work properly in any other configuration than the one I mentioned above (that I tried)
I think this is a bug which started with Music Assistant version 2.5.0 and/or HA Core version 2025.4 . Prior to upgrading to those version, MediaPlayer and/or Music Assistant will honor the repeat settings set ie. if we set the track to play only once, the playback will stop at the end of the playback.
The funny thing is, this seemed to only affect the VLS telnet player. The looping problem doesn’t seem to affect my google speakers/hub.
