My Tuya Converted Tasmota bulbs & switches turn themselves on (Possible MQTT issue?)

So… my wife hates all things automation in my house, she’s complaining about random events. And after closer look… it appears that she’s not crazy!

I have 3 tuya converted smart bulbs, and 4 Tuya converted Smart switches.
and it appears that some of them go unavailable and then turn themselves on.

you can see that the state was OFF, hours later it goes unavailable, then goes ON, OFF, ON… WHY?

I have 2 Ubiquity APs in my 3bed room single home, (main floor and top floor) I don’t think it’s a wifi issue.

I know the Gosund outlets I just converted running Tasmota cycle power to the plug when they reset due to any changes. I wonder if that’s what’s happening, the question is why is it resetting…

Can it be due to this issue?

so I read the other thread, and to be honest, I’m not sure what they are talking about.

Since I posted this, I upgrade all my switches and light bulbs which are having this problem, and they’ll all running tasmota 7.0.0.4 now.

This did not resolve my issue.

Did you use autodiscovery, or did you set them up manually ? Do you use retain ?

Manually added.
Retain was “on” but after searching, people were pointing that that might be the issue. My code now says “retain: false” for all my switches and lights.

I also used MQTT Explorer and deleted every “retain” line item I could find.
This had a placebo affect the first night, I thought it was going to be resolved. but it had no change.

of course my wife noticed the “retain = false” right away… as some lights were now ON, but OFF in the app… so what does she do ? physically turns off the lamp.
I told her toggle the switch in the app… but she’s very hard to train.
