the Devilishly Disreputable Dastardly Dev’s Destroyed my Z-Wave…
(was going to add Detestable to the above description, but that seemed too much since we like Dev’s, they are generally good folk, at least when they are not sneaking in, breaking stuff and stealing our spoons… )
Before the March ? update of Doom, I was using the Z-wave JS UI with no issues…
After the update of Doom, Z-wave no longer worked…
A little digging and I found I now magically had both Z-wave JS UI and the stock Z-Wave JS both installed and active at the same time…Not sure what those devious sneaky dev’s are up too, but that don’t seem right… it almost seems like they tried to sneak in under the cover of darkness and swap out my Z-Wave JS UI for the stock Z-wave JS but gave up half way through…
now I am stuck in some sort of Z-wave nether regions…
- I can reinstall Z-Wave JS UI, and it communicates just fine with all my devices, but the HA Zwave integration refuses to talk to Z-wave JS UI…
- or I can install the stock Z-Wave JS, and that communicates just fine with the HA Zwave integration, but while it claims everything is fine, wont talk to the zwave devices…
the last option being my preferred final destination as it seems that after the great Z-wave JS Mergening of (whenever it happened) just going with the stock Z-wave JS would be the best path going forward, especially since they are now essentially the same anyway…
for a awhile (and probably still) I was convinced that the new stock Z-wave JS was just using the wrong S0,S2,etc keys, partly because they were wrong when I looked at the settings.json file (couldn’t find them in the UI?)
but changing them to the correct keys doesn’t seen to have helpped?
.
any thoughts on what to try next?
