Nabu Casa and Alexa problems - Can you debug it?

I have ongoing issues with Nabu Casa and Alexa where I have the following issues:

  • Voice commands to Alexa do not always get actioned in HA (most the time they do)

  • Intermittent long delays between issuing voice commands to Alexa and action being carried out in HA

  • Device status/events not always going back to Alexa (eg: Alexa shows a light on, when in HA it’s off)

Sometimes everything works great, with near instant response, other times not. I’m having to give Alexa the commands several times.

I have seen on the forum other people having similar issues, but couldn’t see any solution.

Is there a way to debug the integration/link to see where the issues are??

How many echo’s do you have? I ask because I have one in every room and sometimes two echos will respond at the same time to my request and they sometimes both agree to ignore me… but not always.

I have several, but only one hears and acknowledges the command.

Plus the number of echos shouldn’t affect the status reports from HA to Alexa, that doesn’t use echos.

I seem to be having similar problems. Although calls from Alexa to Nabu Casa/my Hassio instance consistently fail. The automations and their state however are all available and seem to be working between Nabu Casa and Alexa.

So I have the same request, is there a way to debug the integration/link to see where the issues are?

Same here in Germany.
I switched from iobroker (small growing German smart home system) to home assistant. With iobroker iot cloud everything worked like a charm…
I love everything in home assistant. Switching back is not an option anymore. But honestly, the quality of the nabu cada cloud service with Alexa is more than frustrating!
Every second command “device is not responding”
After 5-10 seconds the light turns on if you’re lucky…

same exact thing here .wife is not a fan. If was free i would say i could live with it but im paying for this service and its been this way for a long time.

I’ve been having this issue for several months, maybe even a year. Lots of “sorry, that device is not responding” messages followed by the device actually triggering. Massive delays.
