Nabu Casa cloud remote access android not working

Hi all, first post so please go easy. Tried search function and couldn’t find anything.

I have the cloud subscription to allow remote access, if I cut/paste the WebLink I can use Chrome browser on my phone to get remote access when away from home, but the app itself will not connect when away from home, I get the option to refresh external link but that makes no difference. I ended up with a black screen and a little android droid top left corner of screen.

To use the app I’m forced to vpn back into home network.

I assume remote access is indeed ment to work for the app and not just via a browser?

Can someone please assist me getting this working.

check that you have teh correct URL entered into app settings, if you copied and pasted from a browser you probably copied extra bits that the app does not need.

click on settings on the pop-up and select your server to confirm the URL

Ok that was a step I was unaware of. Had to change server settings to use internal IP connection when on certain SSIDs and to use cloud when not. Not both local and remote connections work seemlessly. Thanks.
