I would like a sensor to be able to change its name depending on its status, for example, if 3 kWh of electricity has been consumed, the sensor would be called “Consumption” and if, on the other hand, that same sensor becomes negative due to injection into the grid - 3 kWh then It would be called “Injected”

You may have to be more specific about the context in which you’d like this to happen. If mean on an entity card in a dashboard, for instance, they allow you to change the display name. You could have a conditional card chose between two entity cards with different values for name depending on if the sensor is below zero.
