Need advice regarding switches for Hive bulbs

Hi all,

I have a couple of Hive bulbs successfully configured in zigbee2mqtt in Home Assistant and this works well enough. However, the bulbs are power cycled regularly using physical switches, reverting their brightness levels.

Ideally I’d like to retain the brightness levels by pushing “off” and “on” states to the bulb in response to a switch/button press as that does seem to retain the brightness between those states. Obviously the mechanical switch can’t do this. But is this something that a Zigbee switch could achieve? My understanding is that it will still power cycle the bulb when physically pressed just as a normal switch would do.

What are my options here for retaining the brightness of these bulbs?

Many thanks in advance!

Perhaps the best solution might be to leave the switches on and add some motion sensors.
