I have been trying to get a RFWC5 scene controller to work with my Hassbian HA setup, and I’m having no luck.
I don’t see any entries in my OZW_Log.txt log file when I physically press any of the buttons, but I do other entries during startup, so I know the controller is paired correctly.
I’ve tried updating my zwcfg_*.xml file with the additional parameters specified here: https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/z-wave/device-specific/ but every time I restart HA, it disappears. I’ve also tried adding the parameters to the RFWC5.xml file in the /srv/homeassistant/lib/python3.5/site-packages/python_openzwave/ozw_config/cooper directory, but that didn’t help either
I’ve associated each of the 5 groups with my Aeotec ZW090 Z-Stick Gen5 US under the Z Wave Node Management also, but no change.
I did set up the example configuration specified for the device in https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/z-wave/device-specific/ and I am able to turn on and off the LEDs using the HA website, so the device seems to be working properly.
I am assuming that the first thing I need to do is get log entries to be written when I physically press the buttons.
As long as there is enough info there to trigger automations, I should be able to get the rest to work.
I also understand that the RFWC5 can have scenes written to it directly so it can still operate when HA is down, but I’m not sure if this is related to my issues.
Any help would be appreciated.
