Hello all,
I have a question or a small problem. I currently have a small test installation of Home Assistant running at my parents to introduce them to the topic. Actually, only the shutters and the Powerwall are currently set up. And there is also the question or the problem.
I have set up an automation which lowers the shutters at sunset and raises them again at sunrise. Unfortunately, this does not always work with all shutters and some remain open or closed.
There is also no recognizable pattern. At first I thought only the first floor worked and the upper floor didn’t, but then yesterday evening they all closed and this morning again 6 of 16 didn’t open. All wildly distributed throughout the house.
What have I done? The system consists of a Tahoma box with Somfy controlled shutters. These were included in the house building package, so now I have to live with that. For this I created a helper group for the shutters on the first floor and one for the upper floor. These two groups I have then again combined in a helper group “All shutters”.
For this then an automation according to sunrise a service “Open shutters” is triggered with the entity “All shutters”. For the sunset I proceeded analogously.
My first assumption was that it is due to the group in the group. Therefore I have entered yesterday then once as entities in the service the groups for the upper floor and the ground floor separately. As already written not the full success.
My problem is just that I can not grasp the problem and I do not know where I could look. Is it Home Assistant, which I honestly do not believe. Or is the box simply overwhelmed when the command for 16 shutters comes at the same time? Is it the radio? I can not believe either, manually everything works fine.
Would be great if someone could give me a push in the right direction.
Thanks a lot
Joe
