I need to get something like Remote Home Assistant to work, but I’ve spent about 10 hours doing everything I can to get it to work when it should take 15 minutes. I’ve posted for help and haven’t received any. I don’t know what to do, but I need to be able to make 2 instances of HA, on our LAN, but in different buildings, to work as if they’re one, so it’s easy for my family members to handle it without having to switch between different servers when they use the HA app on their phones.
At this point, I’m just fed up and tired and wondering why something basic isn’t behaving. And, as I said, I’m getting no help, so, please, if you can help with one of these:

Where should I go to get help with Remote Home Assistant? I know it’s a custom component, but there has to be someone here or there has to be a place to go. I’ve been to the RHA page on GitHub and posted there, but nobody has been on the forum there since 2018.

What can I use instead of RHA that is known to install easily and work transparently?

One time I added RHA on the system I want to use as remote and it asked me if it was the remote system. It’s done that ONE time. I have created numerous HA images for my Pi and put them in the remote system. (I want to be sure I’m starting from scratch, but I’ve also deleted the files and removed RHA from HACS - don’t know if that makes a clean removal or not.) And, except for ONE time, RHA always goes directly to the config options for the main system - so apparently there’s no way, unless it’s in the right mood, to say, “This is the remote system.”

Where are logs for RHA? Where can I find out why a main system is not connecting with the remote system? The only error it gives is that it failed to connect.
