Ultimately I’m trying to connect Peteme Lights over WiFi to Home Assistant. As I understand it I can use The Tasmota Integration and MQTT to do that. I installed the Mosquito Broker and Tasmota integration, and then realized I am completely out of my depth, and have no real idea what I’m doing. I have several other integrations working, but they were a lot more intuitive to setup, and I’m completely clueless what my next step should be.
If anyone knows a walkthrough or can give me a point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
The only petme lights i found on the official Tasmota supported devices list are these ones. Is that what you have? If they are the ones then you’ll need to research for how to flash the Tasmota firmware onto those lights. Or are they already flashed with Tasmota?
Do you have the bulbs working already on your network via some other phone app? I don’t know those bulbs personally but it’s likely the default firmware on those bulbs is Tuya based. Do the instructions for the bulbs say to use Tuya Smart app or Smart Life app or something similar?
In all honestly if you are already feeling out of your depth then perhaps attempting to flash these bulbs as your first device might not be the best option to start with.
