Need help to solve an WS281x Panel with an cut of Edge

Hello, i want to build an panel with WLED (ws281x) Connected in the above order.
I am searching for an Light effect or an other way to show Row’s and Column’s (like in Excel the blue marker lines)
The purpose is to highlight the position of small parts in an Magazine.
For example i want to highlight Box 37. then row 3 and column 7 is on.

Problems to solve:

  1. Each Box is 5cm wide. so an stripe with 30LED/m the LED is sometimes behind the border. 66LED/m has an distance from 1,6cm so that 2 LED are behind the box. and if one led is hidden the next two will fit.
  2. I don’t have an rectangular shape. on top left is an diagonal cut of because of the roof ( see simple graphic)

what i have found:
esphome has Light Partitions Light Partition — ESPHome so i could say partition 37 on and i have an dot
WLED has Partition an could handle the alternating row direction
Has someone an idea to solve this?

@nickrout I knew, but WLED or NeoPixel or WS281x or FastLED are nearly the same.
