Need help troubleshooting broadlink setup

hi all ,

i’ve had a broadlink RM Pro + working with HA for a while now and recently i’ve found that HA isn’t communicating with my Rm Pro+ and was wondering if anyone can help me to trouble shoot the problem.

ive tried to ping the RM Pro+ from windows cmd and have confirmed there is a device at the ip that should be connected to the RM Pro+.

ive checked my router to get the IP and the MAC address and have double and tripple checked that these are still correct in my configuration.

ive gone though the setup documentation for the Broadlink RM Pro+ on Home assistant and as far as i can tell it should be working… but it’s not.

i would espect to see the light on the RM pro+ to show when its transmitting a code even if the code is wrong (but i’ve also double checked my codes to make sure they are correct still) though when i use HA to send a signal though the RM Pro+ there is no light, HA shows that the switch has been triggered but nothing else happens and no light on the RM Pro+

I’m at a loss… please help me to find where i am going wrong.

my setup is this…

thank you for your time and help.

  • Does the broadlink work if you use the e-Control app?
  • Do you have the ‘broadlink.learn’ and ‘broadlink.send’ services in Dev Tools/services?
  • Anything in the logs on HA startup?
  • What HA version are you on?
There will be a broadlink library upgrade in the next patch release.

Hi VDRainer,

Thank for your reply, yes the broadlink works perfectly with the e-control app, I’m currently using the latest update of ha on a pi.

I’ve just checked the services and yip got the broadlink.learn and send services.

And nothing on the logs that I can see. Got me stumped… If there will be an upgrade I’ll wait and see if that sorts it.

Thank you again though

I’ll keep fiddling to see if I can stumble on a fix…!

Hello, I also recently had problems with my Broadlink, but in Node-RED. It was because the commands had changed, they have adapted and luckily everything is back. Look in HA “Services” and try this (change IR command and IP address !!). Everything works without problems. I’m not a professional either, but maybe that helps a bit …

Got it sorted…

No idea what happened but it just worked today, nothings changed in my setups… Haven’t touched my yamls or anything.

Thank you all
