I just installed a WaterCop/Fortrezz water shutoff valve. I connected it through SmartThings and HA then saw and picked it up. The issue I am seeing is only the following was added in HA:
[binary_sensor.fortrezz_water_valve_valve]
This just seems to be the binary sensor for open/closed. Anyone know how to get this properly configured to include a switch or toggle to actually execute an open/close action on the valve?
I should add that it works properly through SmartThings.
Hmmmm, yeah good thought. I went back and deleted/re-added it through smartthings and did notice an error: “some security features not supported. Your device has been connected, but it isn’t using the highest level of security. User a newer z-wave device for the highest security.”
First time I have seen this and am not sure if this is related to the WaterCop actuator or the SmartThings (v3) hub.
Sorry, I misread your post and was thinking you used to have it in SmartThings, and now were trying to add it to Home Assistant directly. You might want to find out who wrote the SmartThings integration for Home Assistant and see if they can assist with some changes for the next version.
