Need to Heal Network After Every Home Assistant Core Upgrade

I’m running Z-wave JS with an Aotec Z-wave Gen5. Most of my wall plug adapters are Minoston brand.

When I upgrade HA Core, I almost always have to heal my Z-wave network. Several devices go offline when this occurs.

Does anyone have any suggestion to make this more stable/prevent them from going offline?

Post your logs on startup when they are offline.

Hi… I have more or less the same problem… (OS and Core) Especially my older devices is lost and I even have had to reinstall them as I could not find out what was wrong… I have some 90 Zwave devices and many of them are old. I migrated from Vera thinking I would get better stability but so far it has been the same or even worse… BUT i would never go back but rather try to climb the steep lerning curve

Would appreciate some tips on how to debug this or a procedure on how to correctly instal the Updates/Upgrades

Now it looks like this (after restoring last backup!)

I replaced some failing GE/Jasco switches with Minoston MS12Z units. Some work perfectly. Some wouldn’t include correctly until healed. Some have issues every core update, being marked dead until physically switched. There doesn’t seem to be anything consistent going on. Lastly, the range is definitely shorter than GE/Jasco. I replaced the switch furthest from the controller (Aeotec Zstick 5), and it wouldn’t include unless I moved the controller closer. The GE/Jasco it replaced had no issues. Overall, I can’t recommend Minoston.

It doesn’t make sense that a core update would affect this as zwavejs runs independently from core.

Agree, could just be coincidence but it does seem to correlate. I will send the logs when I have a chance.

A power issue maybe?
