We’ve recently purchased a house and I’m trying to upgrade the under cabinet kitchen lighting. Right now I have four separate cabinets, with each cabinet having its own 120V feed to a hardwired light. One of the under cabinet lights is controlled by a wall switch, while the other three have to be turned on and off with the switch on the fixture itself. I’m stuck trying to figure out how to modify the lights so that they all can be turned on/off with one switch (preferably a smart switch so I can control the lights via ha) without completely rewiring my kitchen. Any suggestions?
You could always add a sonoff or shelly to each of them (with the switches on all of them left ‘on’. Then you setup an automation which makes the other three sonoffs/shellys switch on/off when the wall switched light is swiched on/off? There’d be a little lag but probably the best way I can think of.
I stumbled onto the Sonoff relays earlier today and have ordered a couple. Thanks for the suggestion
