Hello,
I have a lamp from Occhio that has a top and bottom light output. You can define a value between 0 and 254 in a variable called vertical the light output. 0 is 100% light output at the top side, 254 is 100% light output at the bottom side.
The light entity doesn’t support that kind of luminaire. Is there a possibilty to add this attribute and also program via a frontend slider?

Unfortunately no. There is no action available to set that attribute.
Someone would need to create a custom integration to support it. Someone may have already done this. Search the internet for “your light name” + “home assistant integration”.
There is no integration available. Maybe there is someone who can realize this.
Hi Steewan, you can use the casambi bt integration (GitHub - lkempf/casambi-bt-hass). I had so far never experience any stability issue.
The main problem comes from the handling of the vertical. The component create an extra sensor called illimuniscence. This prevent for a nice integration but…it works.
