Nello to shutdown on 18.10.2019 - Possible solution

I just received this message from the nello team:

unfortunately we are forced to stop the operation of the nello server on 18.10., so that your nello one will only work until then. This happens against the background that we couldn’t find an investor or buyer in the past 8 months, who would invest in the further development and maintenance of nello.

Therefore, insolvency proceedings for the company behind nello - LOCUMI LABS GmbH - had to be opened on 1st of October. Unfortunately, from now on we can no longer offer customer support.

Since 1st of October, the lawyer Dr. Hubert Ampferl (Nymphenburger Straße 5, 80335 Munich, +49(89)30905860, [email protected]) has been appointed insolvency administrator. All insolvency claims must be submitted in writing to the insolvency administrator by 6th of November 2019.

So that you can still use your nello one, we are currently working on a solution, which we will present to you shortly. :hugs:

We would also like to thank you very much for your support on our way. Until the end we had hoped to achieve a better end for you and the company.

All the best,

the entire nello team

This repo popped up on Github yesterday and so far consists of a 1 line readme file. But, it looks like it could be the actual nello team behind it, so keep an eye on this possible Raspberry Pi self hosted solution:

Thanks for finding this. I use Nello everyday (keyless access). If they don’t release a solution I might need to buy Nuki. I just find Nello smarter (power from the door system and built in wifi). Cross my fingers.

I found this one:
https://hub.docker.com/r/nelloio/nello-docker-base

Could be a Nello backend image. But it is two years old, maybe a early version.

Hi there
A company from Italy will buy nello or runs the servers. So we can use nello further. One question to the nello topic. With my nello Integration the bell event has a delay about 30 seconds. Is there a solution? In this year i think nello present a public api. But I think no one constructed a new integration.
Thanks
