NEO Cool cam Zwave PIR Motion Sensor Icon device_class

It is recognised in Hassio as:

binary_sensor.shenzhen_neo_electronics_co_ltd_battery_powered_pir_sensor_sensor

I was struggling to get the right icon for it, in the end it was quit simple, just add this to your customisation:

binary_sensor.shenzhen_neo_electronics_co_ltd_battery_powered_pir_sensor_sensor:
  friendly_name: Trap
  device_class: motion

Hi, thanks for sharing this. I very new to HA and am still very much confused about all the terminology. Could you explain where “your customisation” is in this case? I’ve tried adding it in the configuration.yaml, but it doesn’t like that very much :roll_eyes:

Click on Configuration, and the Customizations, then select the entity and change whatever you need to there. Don’t forget to click save

That worked, thanks. Apparently I was missing customize.yaml and the inclusion of it in configuration.yaml. Now on to the many other challenges :grimacing:
