Neo coolcam door/window sensor - problems

Hey

I have a strange problem with one of mine Neo CoolCam Door/Window Sensors.
First: I have it placed so Neo sensor have a powered node that is its neighbour.
Second: It worked perfectly fine for two years.

Now the problem:
When I open the door, nothing happens, not even the indicator flashes.
When I close the door, nothing happens, not even the indicator flashes.

Then I open the door again, it works just fine. Sending to HA and I can see the change.
I close the door, it works just fine. Sending to HA and I can see the change.

The I open the door for the third time, nothing happens, not even the indicator flashes.
II close the door, nothing happens, not even the indicator flashes.

This repeats so every other time it dont react.
Anyone else this happend for?

Is battery still ok? (maybe strange question, but maybe its empty)

Changed battery when it started.

I have excluded it from zwave network and readded it again aswell. Same thing happens.

No solution yet. Still same problem. Think its faulty and will replace it.

Hello, i have same problem,

I’ve just bought 3 CoolCam door sensors. And they detect an open/close every two times.

So they detect the first open-close, but they will not detect the 2nd open-close, and they will detect the 3rd open close, but not the 4th, and yes the 5th…and so…and so

However, if you use for gliding doors or windows it works well (you approach in longitudinal axis of the main body)

Mine are working OK I have 2 but I have 2 other mates that have 10 each and this behaviour is happening.

His sensor still only works every other time even on mine but mine 2 sensors work fine.

He replaces c3 capacitor on the back with c2 on the front and then it work. So start sondering and try it. :ok_hand:t2:

I replace C3 to C2. Worked for 2 minutes perfect. After had the same issue.Send message every second time. Anyone know what capacitor is that?

I have 2 of them and there are working perfect.

After 1 year the battery is stil in good condition while i open and close the back door realy often. (Im Smoking outside on the back)

So i ordered two more and inhad the se isuse withe the 2 new ones.

So i replaced the c3 capacitors (i got the new capacitors from an old broken mainboards, so i left the c2 capacitors)

And now them work perfect. Like the first two ones.

I think its not an good idea to take the c2 caapcitor out and solder it on c3.

So i left the c2 and only replaced the c3 they are working like a charm.

I need to say im electronican so i have the right Equipment like microscope and a realy good soldeer station to work on so smal thinks.

Now the 2 new ones work like a charm

Does someone know what size the capacitor has?
