Neo Coolcam Powerplug

Hi, I’ve also bought a Neo Coolcam power plug and added it with no problems to HA. Nevertheless, I have erratic behavior when I power it on and off using the frontend.
It’s a z-wave plus device, it should work better.

One thing I don’t see ( when in the node z-wave configuration I click on “Show” to have more info on the node) is the neighbors, and that is not normal, right? I do have several other z-wave equipments and all show the neighboring nodes… maybe this is why the power plug operates this bad… maybe it tries to connect directly to the controller, which is not near, instead of using the mesh! But it must use mesh, as this is a protocol based functionality, so it has to comply…
When I plug it near my controller (an Aeon USB stick on a Pi 3), it works flawlessly… then I unplug it, take it to the other outlet I need (which is near a z-wave switch, about 4 meters far), and then heal the network, it works when it wants…
Do yours show the neighbors?

Yes I have three in use and with me they all show the neighboring nodes. You can also see this info in the states overview (<> under developer tools) and then the zwave.### devices.

Strange, no info regarding neighbors in mine. Can you please share what info your’s give?

See below:

Yep, mine does not…

I am using two plugs for a while but I am wondering if they are working as they should. I think they are acting as an endnode and does not pass through signals from for instance a PIR sensor. Till I bought a decent aeon range extender my zwave range was very poor and the plugs did not extend my range as they should do.

I never looked into the node information but I found out that my plugs does not show any neighbours either (see below). However the plugs themselves are listed as a neighbour of my range extender.

So the question is why the plugs doesnt give any neighbours??

How did you manage to add this device in the first place? Did u use “add node” or “add node secure”
Actually i tried with both n nothing happens. It appears that the device never sends anything.
Zwave log is like below. Anyone faced the same issue?

Note: In order to force inclusion mode, the manual says to “touch the button 3 times continuously n quickly n then the light will flash yellow+green for 5 times”. Is this anywhere close to what you did when completing the pairing?
The only way i can actually trigger this device to flash its light is by quickly pressing the button three times n then the light flashes green around 16 times - nowhere near to what the manual says.

k figured out what was wrong. Zwave is split to regions with different operating frequencies. My stick (nortek husbzb-1) is for USA frequencies while the plug is for EU. That’s why the hub is listening but not really receiving anything.
