Neophyte question about CP210x

Hi,
I’ve recently been wrestling with ESP8266 / ESP32 devices via Arduino IDE under Windows 11 and I’m waiting for the arrival of a mini PC to install Home Assistant and ESPhome to try to coordinate these devices with my other bits and pieces.
My question is. When I install HAOS on the PC will I have the same problem with CP210x USB drivers that I had in Windows 11 - or does the HA O/S already have suitable USB COM drivers / bridge driver (whichever it actually is)?

I’m asking in advance so that if I need to upgrade the installation I’ll go and dig up the documentation / tutorials while the PC is still in the post.

Thanks all, and apologies if this is answered elsewhere. I DID do a search on ESP and CP210x but didn’t find any discussion except a couple of people talking about installing on top of windows, which I hope is actually good news for me.

All the best,
mbd

The CP210x driver has been distributed as part of the Linux kernel since v2.6.12. Since HA OS uses a 6.6 kernel, no problems expected.
