Nessus vulnerability scanner integration

Has anyone considered a HA integration with the Nessus vulnerability scanner or equivalent?

HA is integrated with a set of network IoT devices and hubs etc, all of which need regular patching to ensure there are no security vulnerabilities.

It would seem to me that if HA could interface to a scanner, it could then report on which IoT devices have vulnerabilities, so need some maintenance.

Simplistically, it seems like an extension of something like the nmap scanner - but as well as the MAC/IP address, it captures vulnerability info?

Anyone else think this is worth considering?
Does something similar already exist?

I too would like this. I dont want to run a second PIE just for this.

Is there any development in this area? I think it would be a very good add-on. It can, but must not be Nessus. Openvas would be good too.

If there is any activity in this area, I would be glad to participate, but I am not experienced (yet) in development for Homeassistant…
