Nest Integration not working. "Unknown error" in last step

I followed the instructions to the dot, multiple times. I cannot seem to get this to work. I had Nest integration working, until I rebuild my HA environment a couple of months ago.
I have the new unique OATH Client-id, OATH Client Secret, the Google-Project id as well as the Device project ID.
I have actually removed all my previous APi’s in the Google API console and just have this one now.
Everything works fine, until the Pub/Sub topic comes up, after selecting the Google account, and confrm the devices. It even have the Nest thermostat Area names correct, but then it fails with this:

And yes, on the HA Integration page, I have clicked the three dots and removed the previous authentication, reboot HA and try to add it again with the credentials. I get the same problem time after time.

Google is not much help, refers me to HA support.

Any ideas?

It’s probably a nest issue. They’ve been having issues today. (According to the status page, not yet resolved.)

That will be just my luck, right. I waited about a month to complete this integration and then BAM!

I will check this site and try again’, later when it’s up.

You need to manually create a topic in Google Cloud, per this post:

I was having the same problem and that worked for me.

This was a bug whicg is now fixed in 2024.11.2.
