Nest have released their source for “Open Weave” what they dub is a home area network application protocol stack designed to enable asynchronous, symmetric, device-to-device, device-to-mobile and device-to-cloud communications for control path and data path messaging.
This could be quite good for users of Home Assistant if it means we can ditch another cloud based company and have more local control, Hopefully this can assist some of the talented users that are in this community to create something great!
