NetAtmo issue

Did anyone get their NetAtmo devices to work after the upgrade to 0.94?

I’m still suffering from the same symptoms :frowning:

Same here - updates for a few hours then that is it

OK, at least I’m not alone

I really hope it will get fixed in the next release. It is the sensors I use the most.

I downloaded an older version of the Netatmo sensor code and placed it in my custom_components folder.
Now I don’t have the problem any more.

Hi Rich.

Do you happen to have a quick guide how to do that?

Think it sounds like a really nice work-around.

Of course an official fix would be best. But I think it has taken too long to find the right solution.

In your config folder, make a folder named custom_components in that folder make a folder named netatmo_custom place the files __init__.py, const.py, manifest.json and sensor.py from this link (which is a history point from 26 of April where I thought it was last working good)

In your configuration file change the sensor / platform: natatmo to netatmo_custom
Restart home assistant, your netatmo sensors changes entity to end with _2 so you need to edit your UI, automation or where you use them.

Be aware that the pyatmo module has changed recently so it might not be fully compatible with older netatmo components.

Hey Tobi.

Thanks for your comment. Always nice to write in here as questions always get answered

I have one of NetAtmo’s weather stations, bought it in October 2018. The reason; it is/was compatible with HA. It is the sensors I use the most and they give me the pleasure of showing up nice on my web UI. So I really miss the readings.

Do you have any knowledge about if it gets addressed in the coming release?

As I don’t own a weather station myself I can’t test myself.

I only have the NetAtmo weather station with extra indoor and rain module and so far using the old component as a custom module it’s working and the new is not (after a while). When the day comes and the old stops working we have to find another solution, but hopefully the new is working by then.

0.95 should work

Ok, thanks for the update, I’ll guess we see tomorrow.

Hi Daniel

I’ll set your response as the solution to my question and hope it will fix the issue.

Thanks all for commenting

If there are still issues in 0.95 with sensors stopping to work after a few hours, please open a new issue on github.

0.95 didn’t work at all. I now loaded the latest sensor.py (post fix #24788) from the dev channel in my custom folder and now I have sensors with data. Lets see for how long.

0.95.2 is out and ships with the mentioned fix. Please report your experiences.

95.4 for 3 days now, no problems with the built-in Netatmo sensor. :+1: Thanks!
