Netgear integration not working

I just upgraded from 2021.2.2 to 2022.6.6 core (on Ubuntu 20.04). I have a Netgear WAC104 that used to work with netgear in the configuration file. The firmware is up-to-date, V1.0.4.17. Now, when I try to add the Netgear integration, I get “Connection or login error: please check your configuration” from the integration and the WAP log shows “remote login failure”. So the HA integration is reaching the device. There’s no port entry on this integration, but if try to login to the WAP from a browser using port 5000, the WAP log shows nothing. So it’s not a port issue. In other words, the integration is correctly using port 80, but the login is failing. I copied the password from the browser saved passwords (which works) so that’s not the problem. That pretty much leaves the integration code as the problem, doesn’t it?

Not to demotivate you but I tried many MANY times to get my netgear r7000 integrated in a stable way, tried a lot of things with many HACS/github stuff and even modified things myself.
Whatever I got active worked fine with a reboot of the router but within 1-2 days it died…
I gave up and in fact I should have given up earlier as in the end I discovered that I do not care a lot about router data (my view, others may have different ones) other than binary: it works…or not.

Thanks @vingerha. Fortunately, I have other options.

Just before this thread dies off - I”m having problems with the Netgear integration with an EAX80 extender. Auto discovery works fine for my router, and then separate setup works fine for 2 EAX12 extenders - only the EAX80 reports “Connection or login error: please check your configuration.

Config is just IP address, username and password in the UI dialogue.

Logs show:

login using all known port-ssl combinations failed.

20:38:06 – (ERROR) /usr/local/lib/python3.10/site-packages/pynetgear/router.py - message first occurred at 20:14:46 and shows up 3 times

Login v2 ok but no cookie…

20:38:06 – (ERROR) /usr/local/lib/python3.10/site-packages/pynetgear/router.py - message first occurred at 20:14:45 and shows up 4 times

Any thoughts on what to try next?

Thank you!

Tim

PS: Running 2022.7.5

“Misery loves company”- NetgearR6700, HA 2022.12.8. Works for a day or so after removing the integration and reinstalling.
