Network access

Hello Forum Members,

I hope you’re all doing well. I’m reaching out because I’m facing a bit of a challenge with my Home Assistant setup, and I’m hoping some of you experienced users can lend a hand.

Background: I have Home Assistant running as a VM on Proxmox, and I’m using a TP-Link Deco mesh router to manage my network. Everything has been working smoothly so far, but I recently encountered a situation where one of the routers failed, rendering my entire system inaccessible even on local network.

Issue: My main concern is that I want to configure Home Assistant to automatically switch to WiFi when the Ethernet connection becomes unavailable. I’ve searched through the documentation and forums, but I couldn’t find a straightforward solution for this specific scenario.

Additional Information: I should note that during the incident, the WiFi connections were unaffected, and devices connected via WiFi were still operational. However, I couldn’t access Home Assistant because it seemed to be exclusively relying on the Ethernet connection from router that have stopped to operate.

Request for Assistance: Has anyone successfully configured Home Assistant on Proxmox to seamlessly switch to WiFi when the Ethernet connection is lost? If so, could you please share your insights and steps on how to achieve this?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!
