Network firewalls and security

Hi HA Community,

I’m looking for a standalone firewall that has some sort of API / can be monitored in HA (e.g some diagnostics/logs in HA). I have a lot of network devices, and ports open for various reasons. I was thinking about getting something a little more advanced rather than just relying on my home router in-built FW.

something like… Netgear ProSAFE FVS318G, which also supports certs.

Any experience or suggestions with standalone network firewalls?

This can be achieved via SNMP, on a fairly wide range of devices. Even a few consumer ones these days.

I ended up getting pfsense SG-2100. It is excellent and probably the best device I have on my network.
