Trying to set up a network hard drive.
I access this in windows and my mobiles with ftp://192.168.1.1
in this I have a folder called sda1/backup
so in windows it says ftp://192.168.1.1/sda1/backup .
How do I fill this in network sharing? No matter what I try I get an error.
I have an older asus router where under samba there is SMBv1 and SMBv2
If you are trying to setup the “Network Storage” option in HA. It only seems to be able to go to the root of the SMB share. In your case 192.168.1.1/sda1.
I suppose you mean the Network Storage option that has been introduced with Home Assistant version 2023.6?
It seems like you are confusing FTP with SMB: these are different network protocols.
The Network Storage option only supports two network protocols: SMB and NFS:
So FTP is not supported.
I am not aware of any option for Home Assistant to access data on a FTP-server. Anyone else?
Can you setup a SMB share for your network storage?
