Network Share issues with Frigate

I’m attempting to get FrigateNVR working with network storage. I previously had a supervised install since when I originally set things up HA didn’t have home assistant. I’ve just gone back to HA OS and restored from backup.

I configured the network share, on the server the path is /mnt/nvr/cameras. In media I see the below directories:

  • Camera
  • Frigate <------ What is this, how do I delete it
  • Image
  • My media
    – cameras <----- Network share where a “frigate” folder should go
  • Nest
  • Text-to-speech

The frigate documentation seems to indicate the path where it will put recordings is /media/frigate.

This could be a frigate configuration issue. In that case, the question is probably how do I point frigate at /media/My meida/cameras/frigate? I don’t think that’s the right way though.

This might be a Home Assistant media folder issue. How do I get /media/Frigate onto the network share? Using the terminal, the contents of /root/media is only the cameras directory.

OK, I think I figured out how to do this. I changed the name of the network share on my server to be at /mnt/nvr/frigate. It then showed up in media/frigate in the terminal, and in My Media/frigate in the web GUI. Frigate seemed to find that OK.
