Network Share settings for MotionEye Camera doesn't work

I’m lost. I have motioneye running as an addon, and I have a Truenas box running that I use for all of our storage. Home Assistant is running in Proxmox and I’ve allocated 100GB of space for it. I can’t for the life of me get Motioneye to authenticate storage on my Truenas box, but I can use it outside of home assistant no problem with the same credentials.

How do we get motion recordings from cameras to write to a sufficient storage location instead of on the HA device?

You don’t give any actual information allowing to help you, but I suspect the issue is rather on the motioneye side.

I did not. I ditched Motion Eye and installed Zoneminder on my server. Problem solved.
