Network Storage to connect Western Digital NAS

I tried both NFS and CIFS to connect my Western Digital NAS as network storage to HomeAssistant but I couldn’t figure it out. Has anyone managed to do this successfully and can share a brief step-by-step guide?
Here is what I tried:

  • Enabled “NFS Service” in NAS’s network settings.
  • Different paths for share path field (with smb, without it like “Public/HA”, etc)
  • CIFS (Samba) with the main admin user/pass which I’m using to connect the NAS to my Macbook

Here is the error when connecting with NFS:
“Could not unmount MyCloudExtra due to: Transaction for mnt-data-supervisor-mounts-MyCloudExtra.mount/stop is destructive (mnt-data-supervisor-mounts-MyCloudExtra.mount has ‘start’ job queued, but ‘stop’ is included in transaction).”

I saw that error also, but only after making changes to a working entry. What version SMB does your NAS use?

Here is an example of mine, if it helps at all.
