I haven’t seen this before in the media player card and cannot find any info about it: is this new and coming from LMS?
Yeah, I noticed this, but on the mini media player custom card.
I assumed it might be an issue with the card, which is not really updated now, and just used card-mod to hide it. But now you mention it, it does seem specific to my Squeezeboxes only.
I wonder if this is a side effect of the recent raft of updates that have been made to the Squeezebox integration? (which I don’t really understand, but really appreciate), which seem to involve changes to the way the integration implements the media player entity.
It would be worth reporting this as a bug I think, because if the media_channel attribute is empty for a given media_content_type, it should really just be an empty attribute shouldn’t it? At the moment, media player cards seem to treat it as an actual value.

Past days I updated my LMS from 8.x to 9.0.1 but also HA to 2024.12.0 and .1 so I haven’t seen when this change happened exactly.
I don’t think it’s a bug but the preparation for something.
I’m using the mini media player custom card too and apparently this ‘none’ only shows with that card, not the standard one.
I’ve done exactly the same, but I have a feeling this first appeared with at least 2024.11 - my card_mod edits date from early November. It may have taken me a while to get around to addressing it, so maybe even 2024.10?
