So I have attempted several times to update my HA OS Core (2024.8.0), each time I update it it stops synching with Nabu Casa. It just keeps cycling over and over while trying to refresh. My automations with Alexa stop working. I perform a full backup refresh and everything works again. I have scoured through forums and found disabling IPV6 within network settings sometimes fixes the issue, this is not the case.
I am doing this on a dedicated raspi 4 with HA OS, haven’t had any issues until now.
Did you read the breaking change section in the release notes?
It mentions a database upgrade.
This?
"This notice applies only if you use the recorder integration with a MySQL or PostgreSQL database. If you are using the default SQLite database, you can ignore it.
This release includes a database upgrade/migration that increases the size of the number we can store for the identifier fields. For a more technical explanation, we are upgrading integer fields for ID columns from a 32-bit integer to BIGINT
, which is a 64-bit integer.
This can cause the database upgrade to take longer than usual, depending on the size of your database.
Please be patient and let the upgrade process finish. Do not interrupt the upgrade process, as this can lead to a corrupted database."
I did read it, but no where in there does is state that it stops connecting entirely to Home Assistant cloud.
It depends on the hardware.
If it is not that powerful, then things might go so slow that it times out on some connections.
