Heya guise. Gosh darn it, everyone’s different. I happen to be an Alexa-guy. An echo dot guy to be precise.
What now then? We’re smart, not only our homes - right? So lets solve this technical issue and “make some noise”
To my knowledge we’ve got these options:
- *Take it apart and extract the audio signal used to power the built in speaker.
- *Use a bluetooth speaker or a bluetooth receiver with audio outputs.
- *Just like the above “bluetooth example”, the new Echo Dot connects to a Wi-Fi speakers aswell.
To the cons.
Taking it apart takes a lot of time and the signal output would be dirtier than an actual analog output.
Bluetooth suffer from both delay, interference and compromised audio quality. On top of this my personal experience from years back is that my old Echo Dot connected to my bluetooth receiver with external audio outputs but when left alone long enough to place either device in standby it required hands-on to get it running again, deal breaker.
As for the Wi-Fi-alternative i dont have any knowledge of experience, enlighten me! <3
