Wondering if anyone is willing to take a crack at making a better FireTV component? The current one requires Python 2 and it’s too troublesome to setup in most environments because the dependencies don’t always install well.
I never got it to work and gave up.
I’m running Home Assistant on a Mac Mini. Is it possible to setup or do I need to reinstall my Home Assistant with Hass.io? I’m a little confused as to what the difference is.
Not sure about Macs, but you could probably get it to run in docker without too much effort.
i have it running on a mac mini. i installed it using penv, because python-firetv requires python 2. using docker would probably be a lot easier, though.
