Just before this latest HA update, I had my I was using Govee2MQTT which had effects/scenes as an option for my lights. This new Govee local integration works great, but is missing this feature. I was just hoping it could be added in the future. I appreciate all the amazing work you all do. Thank you!
I would love to be able to control effects as well, but it looks like maybe it is not available in the API.
New to Govee Here. I am trying to figure out the answer to this as well. I have two different Govee lights. One is a ceiling light and the other is an outdoor light strip. When I add them using the Govee2MQTT they show up with lots of effects and when I switched to using the new native HA integration they do not have Effects. As far as I can tell both of these tools use the Local Govee API, and they can not be run at the same time. What is needed to get the full feature list in the native integration?
Both of these screenshots are the same H60A1 ceiling light.

Just a note as a possible workaround for this:
Using Govee2MQTT, your “Tap-to-Run” automations get picked up in Home Assistant, and those can include scenes/effects
For example, add a Tap-To-Run in your default group in the Govee App. Give it a name, and add actions. I’ve got mine set to turn an LED strip on, with half the segments as one colour, and half as another, but below where you can set colors, you can choose “Mode” instead, which includes the entire list of “Effects” your device can do
Once you save this Tap-to-Run, it’ll show up as a scene within Home Assistant.
One caveat/note:
I am not sure if you need to completely delete the Govee2MQTT add-on and re-install in order for new Tap-to-Runs to show up. If someone knows how to trigger these to be added, that would be great.
Explanation:
I had one Tap-to-Run set up in Govee before I added Govee2MQTT to Home Assistant. Once I noticed that the tap-to-run was added as a scene, I added a second tap-to-run, but it hasn’t come into Home Assistant yet. I restarted Home Assistant, and also restarted Govee2MQTT, but it still hasn’t displayed yet.
