I tested the new “helpers”. I used it as dummy-switches.
In the past I programmed those switches in the configuration.yaml. Where are the helpers saved which I created within the UI?
Thanks,

Everything in the UI is stored in the hidden files in .storage. There should be no need to look at these files with a text editor.
The problem is, I can’t set the value of a switch on the start of HA. This means, I want that the switch get on the start of HA the value OFF. But in the UI for this helper there is no option for this value. I can set a name, a symbol and the entiti-id. That’s all.

Then configure it with yaml. This is the first iteration of the UI version, some options may not be available yet.
Just to be clear, you can also reload these sections of the configuration now. So configuring it via yaml does not require you to restart.
