New - Hyper-V - Smartthings

Hello and I will start with I am a newcomer to HA. Looking forward to continuing to explore it.

I currently have a Dell T1700 Precision Workstation running as a plex server and chose to take advantage of it running all the time to house a Home Assistant installation. I’m running the HA via a Hyper-V virtual machine.

I previously set it up per the instructions and stared to add an integration with my Smartthings hub. I made the private key and all that. Eventaully added a trial of the Nabu Casa for remote access, but then started to explore running without that and using duckdns.org add-on.

My initial install was actually as a service on a “dietpi” VM. I then killed that and transitioned to the HA VM, because it was more full featured. I ended up killing off the HA VM I initially made as a test and rebuilt it from scratch.

Now, when trying to add the Smartthings integration I get the error about a webhook. I’ve done searching and found this: https://pypi.org/project/hass-smartthings-remove/

But, this leaves me with a few unanswered questions:

  1. Shouldn’t this have been in the old now deleted VM?
  2. Or is this somehow housed locally on the host machine?
  3. Depending on the answer above, it’s unclear to me where to run this.

Any help would be appreciated.
