I think your DNS setup is at fault. The host log is not able to resolve checkonline.home-assistant.io. Try 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 as DNS servers.
DNS is set to 1.1.1.1.
Home Assistant has been restarted. No update
In the Browser I can’t open https://checkonline.home-assistant.io/. Not even over the mobile network of T-Mobile
I don’t think there is a web page at that address, but it should resolve.
Where was 10.150.0.203 DNS setting come from?
To clarify too, did you change to 1.1.1.1 in HA or in your router?
10.150.0.203 is den IP of Home Assistant and the of the Adblocker.
Home Assistant uses 1.1.1.1 as DNS now (for safety reasons I restarted Home Assistant after changing it):
Traceroute works for checkonline.home-assistant.io:
But error while looking for the update still remains
Disable IPv6 within HA, restart HA then try again.
HA → Einstellungen → System → Netzwerk → Netzwerkschnittstellen konfigurieren → IPv6: “Deaktiviert” → Speicherm
Tried it. Still didn’t help.
Home Assistant must have an Internet connection because I get HACS Updates all the time
Then please tell us more about the installation method, the server hardware of your HA system and the topology of your LAN.
A working internet connection and issues with DNS are two different things.
HACS is a custom integration but not supervisor.
What Adblocker?
Just adding to this thread as I’ve just realised that I’ve also not been getting any updates for the last month or so. As with the OP, I get updates to integrations through HACS, but the most recent one I got said it wasn’t compatible with my version of HASS. When I looked, I’m still on
- Core2024.9.3
- Supervisor2024.09.1
- Operating System 13.1
- Frontend 20240909.1
I’m running HASS on an RPi 5 and had been getting updates fine up until now.
Based on the thread I disabled IPv6 and explicitly set the DNS on the home assistant IPv4 interface to 8.8.8.8 and then restarted, but this didn’t seem to have helped. However, I then realised that I only restarted Home Assistant and hadn’t fully rebooted my RPi - when I did that it’s now come back and is offering me the Home Assistant Core and OS updates.
Of course, I now don’t know whether it was down to a DNS issue, IPv6, or simply that I needed to reboot the Pi, but at least it all seems to be working as expected again now!
So you have the same constellation as me.
Yesterday I pulled the power for 30 seconds and repowered it again. After a few minutes it showed me 2024.11.2 and more in the updates.
I waited till this morning and updated everything.
