New integration: Energy monitoring device Circutor Wibeee

I have tried to install it several times and despite having a compatible device, in all of them, the wibeee mono resets to factory settings, losing all the configuration (wifi, channels, …) Why does this happen?

In my experience the device becomes unreliable over time. I’m not sure if this was caused by the firmware updates over the years or if it’s just from aging.

I can barely use my Wibeee these days because it keeps falling off the configured WiFi and broadcasting its WIBEEE_ hotspot… when I need to test an update to the integration that often involves a reset of the device, lots of waiting and a bit of hair pulling.

Hi @luuuis ,
I just find out that i can use this old device! Thanks!

In 2017 Barcelona city hall installed freely a Circutor Wibee 1PH, but shortly after they shutdown the project.

My Wibee it’s using a V3.3.130 version pointing to url server metering.autosuficienciabcn.cat.

What’s your recommendation for next steps to integrate to HA?
I need to update the firmware? (If so, I don’t know how to do it) or change the server url?

Thanks!!

Just follow the installation instructions. I recommend Release v4.1.0-beta · luuuis/hass_wibeee · GitHub at this point.

Just to share my experience, I never managed to get Wibeee data locally over long periods of time. My Wibeee eventually resets itself. So at the moment I’m pulling the data from the Wibeee cloud Rest API: Swagger UI Not sure if this is the best way to go, but it helped me to get the data

@MCardus you probably have not tried the 4.x versions, right?
