:ocean: NSW Beachwatch - Know Before You Go!

G’day beach lovers in New South Wales, Australia! :beach_umbrella::kangaroo:

I’ve just released NSW Beachwatch - a Home Assistant integration that tells you if it’s safe to swim at your local NSW beach or waterway.

What it does:

Pulls real-time water quality data from the official NSW Beachwatch API for 200+ beaches & waterways across New South Wales.

4 sensors per beach:

  • :ring_buoy: Swimming Safety (Safe/Caution/Unsafe with dynamic icons)
  • :swimming_man: Swimming Advice (detailed guidance)
  • :test_tube: Water Quality Test (lab results + bacteria levels)
  • :chart_with_upwards_trend: Water Quality History (star ratings for tracking)

Covers: Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle, North Coast (Byron Bay area), South Coast.

Installation:

Available through HACS - search “NSW Beachwatch”
