The Sonoff iHost is proving to be a reliable zigbee hub for my aquara sensors dotted around the house… It’s much more reliable than my zigbee USB stick and Zigbee2MQTT that I have running in HomeAssistant.
The Sonoff iHost appears to have a comprehensive and open API detailed here…
My request is me hoping that someone with the skills would develop an integration for HomeAssistant that lets me tap into the iHost and get access to all the sensors that it has access to etc…
They release a new addon to Sync NSPanel Pro’s zigbee devices int iHost.
Previous Addons which developed by eWeLink team have been open source - These source code can be used as a reference demo of APIs, but I don’t know if this one will be open source as well - At least I haven’t found the github link yet
I see that the have released some preliminary Matter support so possibly this might be a different approach to access the zigbee devices that iHost is managing?
V1.8 (2023.07.10)
New features:
Added Matter Bridge in Pilot Features, which supports adding iHost-managed devices to Matter-supported platforms.
Have you tried to add ihost via HA matter addon? I don’t seem to have found such post - but the videos which add the ihost to Apple and Alexa with this matter bridge function can be found on youtube:
